Title: backfire on deceleration
Post by: ponyracr71 on December 21, 2005, 07:05:27 PM
have a 77runabout, 4 sp..actually selling it, but need to correct the backfire it now has...
she backfires in the muffler everytime i take my foot off the gas, whether to stop or just slow up...
picked her up at an estate sale, changed the battery and cables, regulator, coil, igntion module, cap, rotor, plugs and wires under the hood - along with fluids of course....
any suggestions?  i think it might just be timing?  i put a nos carb on it and it still does the same thing..
thanks
