Title: 74 Pinto 5 lug
Post by: svodave on November 07, 2003, 09:10:11 AM
I have a '74 Pinto with an 8" rear w/ 5 lug axles but the front are still 4 lug.  At my local junkyard I found a '74 Maverick with 5 lug all around. Would the front 5 lug Maverick stuff fit the Pinto? Sounds dumb I know, but a '74 anything is hard to find down here in Houston. Thanks! Dave

Hi Dave,

No, the Maverick spindles are different then a
Pinto and the stuff is not interchangeble. You
can however buy 5 lug rotors for the Pinto
thru Speedway NE to convert it.

Is the 8" rearend original? I need 5 lug axles for my 8" from a MustangII, not sure which axles/drums would be a direct fit. Any help would be appreciated.
