Hey,
I saw at my local autozone the other day an adapter plate that would allow you to run a 4 barrel carb on a 2 barrel intake manifold. I was wondering if anyone has tried to run this set up on their 2.8 and what results did you get? I figure with the 390 cfm holley, this would be a cheaper way to temporarly run a 4bb.Thanks for any info
I haven't had any dealings with the v6 4bbl stuff. BUT The 4bbl on a 2300 SURE was alot of fun LOL
I say go for it, and then tell us how it worked.
I'm not too sure how that would work out on this engine (2.8L V6). The factory air cleaner assy has little hood clearance to begin with on top of the factory two barrel. With a spacer/adapter, you may run into some hood clearance issues so check very carefully before closing the hood after the mods.
I'm hoping to get the carb for christmas from my wife so (if and when) I get it I will let everyone know if it worked out.
