It's not working. Anyone have any problems with these? it's a 70-10 ohm sender (ford) is the pinto a diffrent resistance? it's half full but when i turn it on, the needle moves to E and no further. the guage works becasue when i touch the wires, it goes to full. thought i had them backwards on the sender so i switched them, no change. Any ideas???
Thanks.
Ooops ... I posted about sending units in the Racers forum...I'm in the market to add a sending unit to my cell...what are you using?
Frank
the ford unit from JAZ..but it isnt doing it's job. :-\
Chris did you get any help ... I'm still looking for a sending unit my self . my Cell is a Jaz unit so I was thinking of using the same brand....did you get it from Summit or Jegs? They have some sort of tech support...sort of.
Keep us posted
Frank
got it from jegs. Summit dosent sell jaz products. The guage still isnt reading correctly. I'll call their support line and let you know how it goes.
Chris Did you get your sending unit problems ironed out?
I'm going to get mine this weekend. as a back up plan I have a Autometer guage for a GM style unit.
Frank
nope, still not doing what it's supposed to. And as for now, the car is all apart. At least the least of my worrries now is the fuel sender.
Best of luck with yours, let me know if you have any troubles or anything so i can try and fix mine as well
