Title: V8 and T5 at the same time
Post by: Gwaksquad on December 06, 2005, 12:14:56 AM
Im putting a 302 and T5 manual trans into my 76 wagon, and i was wondering if any of you had used those engine mounts that bolt to the front of the heads. There from "Complete V8 pinto engine swap manual" by Randy Young. The book is all set to use a auto. Any and all help would help. Thank You, Tim

I got one of those books on ebay, and put it in the trash the same day it arrived. That is not the only way to install a v8 in a pinto, check the FAQ section. Also, the mII engine mount brakets that bolt to the car will NOT bolt to a pinto of ANY year. The front frames are not the same. Ford made the MII front to handle the extra pounds of a v8 better. Per my name, I went turbo with my car, but I do plan to do a v8 at some point. When I do, I will make my own brakets and use mounts that are availible aftermarket (cheeeep).

Good luck and welcome,
Bill
