Title: Interior Trim - 1972
Post by: rex on December 04, 2005, 10:24:12 PM
New to this group.  I have a 1972 sedan (trunk) brown ext/brown interior.  I am interested in finding a source for the plastic hard trim (rear quarter) and seat trim.  Does anyone know where to locate either NOS or used trim sets for this vehicle?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome.

I also have been looking, but sorry to say there is not much out there. Those parts turn to powder, we all know. You can try Greene sales in Ohio for some nos parts, or ebay. There was a pinto guy somewhere that made seat covers. It was a one person shop (him), and he died.

Good luck,
Bill

Although they're not brown, I have a set of rear quart trim panels from a 71 sedan without the folding seat.  They're black and in just about NOS condition.  The car was slid in a ditch in 74 and the fellow parked it in the woods under pine trees and it sat there until I got it in 2004. Only had 34,000 on the car.  If you're interested in them, let me know.   If you can find some of that new Krylon fusion plastic paint to match your interior, getting them to match won't be a problem.

Needless to say under all  of those pine trees, the interior didn't see much light for 30 years.  I would've used the seats, but the mice/rats had already decided to borrow the foam and stuffing out of them.

I have no use for them and if you can find some of that new Krylon fusion plastic paint to match your interior, getting them to match won't be a problem.
