I have a 2.3 that is out of 1988 ford ranger I am going to put it in my mustang. How do I wire it just to start and shut off It is fuel injection

Welcome.

I will do my best with the info you gave. First, I will assume that your stang has a carb., and you want to install the efi engine. If your stang engine is bad, you can install the carb set-up onto the ranger engine (depending on the dissy). That is the easy way to do it, but if you want efi, you are looking at getting the full engine harness/comp./sensors and some other items to do the conversion. (I did that with my car, only with a turbo engine) That swap can get pricey if you don't have a donor car.
