Title: cover to store my pinto this winter
Post by: caravan3921 on November 11, 2005, 10:43:40 PM
washed up our lovely pinto this afternoon to get it ready for storage.  Now I need a cover for my pinto.  Old bed sheets don't adequately cover.  Have never stored a vehicle before.  Any suggestions for type of cover, or doesn't it really matter?  There's one on bay for $15.  Is that a reasonable price for a good quality product? I am not into cheap stuff...I want quality.  Also, took photos of my pinto and will get pix on CD disc at photo store this weekend so I can FINALLY post pictures of my pride and joy!  let me know if you have any opinons on a car cover.  And thanks.

I have a few I got from walmart in that price range. They seem to be very good, but if you are storing it inside, an old sheet or two works fine. Don't forget the mouse baits and the moth balls. If outside, I would remove the cover and open the car a few times over the winter to air it out on nice dry days.

A garage is the best place for a pinto to sleep, I can help you find one.

Bill...does Walmart have a cover small enough for a Pinto?  Also, we will be garage storing it, but what did you mean, "I can help you find one."  Do you mean a garage to store it?  We are in Minnesota.  I would love to acquire a 2nd Pinto but would need another garage to store a 2nd Pinto.  Does this all sound confusing to you?? hope not...

Yes, the ones I got there fit well.

Not at all. I am a Realtor, and I work with a national company so I can help anyone in the US find a good Realtor near them. I have helped a lot of "car people" find garages to buy or rent (with houses too).

If you're storing your pinto outside, California car covers makes wonderful covers. They're pricey, but worth it if you don't have inside space. I think they also make covers for indoor come to think of it. Anyway, really nice covers.

just make sure it will breathe. like they said up there open it up once and a while to make sure you keep the air moving.

nothing worse then a car that smells really old.
