hey there gang! been out of the loop a few years. decided to come back and recently got another pinto.live near erie where pintos are rarely seen. mine was brought out of hiding, an found at a nearby dealership.it s red ext, black int,  an a trunk model.you know the story, of the old lady owner? well after i found her she went back into storage an out of the weather.been working on it some as a few things were missing.been keeping the email digest thing going the past few yearsbut other than that not doing much. been driving truck, short hauling the past couple of years, so my time can be short. so, i have one question for the time being , then ill get off of here. has anyone ever transplanted a 3.8 L into the pinto an been sucessfull ? or maybe 2.9 from a a ranger? this pinto has orig. 41555 mi. maybe best to soup up the 2.3 ? im not looking to go nuts about hp, just improve it some, sorry that was more than one question ,well , great to be back,      ken in n.w. pa.

i know with the 2.3l you can get some good power out of it.

the only thing we can do to our race car at our track is a cam and bore it .40 over if you want too and they put out 200hp on the dyno.

and we can only run 175 pounds of compression. and i know there is more then that you can do.

guys up in concord putting shevy valves and other stuff and pushing 260-280 for compression.

would use the 2.3 and build it. like to have the smaller motor and show off
