This is another Pinto I own. It is a 1973 Runabout that is turbocharged and runs on propane fuel.
It was built, maintained and upgraded through the decades by Ak Miller for the original owner, a
doctor from San Marino, CA. When the doctor passed away in the late 1990's he willed the car back to Ak. I purchased the car form Ak in December of 2000 and have started a refurbishment of the car. The bumpers and roof rack are currently at the chrome shop.

Great pictures Bob!! Thanks for posting them.
Skrach is that the car you posted pics of a couple weeks ago?
yep its my 71 sedan
You don't waste any time ;D
nope i figure the more time i waste the more rust its getting lol. i will soon be posting all my pictures onto a website for all to check out. with descriptions of what ive done. i have alot of custom work i am going to do. alot of which i wont mention cause i want to be the first to do it. haha. but i will say that i am looking for a turbo setup such as an AK Miller or something like it. i have the stock 2.0 with a auto trans. i will be running duel exaust. but havent decided if im going to run 2 to 1 (split manifold) or 1 to 2 (split after manifold to 2 pipes)

Sounds like a "Twin Turbo" set-up. 8)
hey skrach,
Since you are going to modify your engine could you save anything off it that has the Autolite logo if they are still on the car ie. plug wires, battery cables, heater hoses, breather hose, vacuum lines, fuel line, radiator hoses or anything with an original decal specifically the aircleaner lid. If a piece is decent I can clean it up and use it when I restore the engine compartment on my 71 or I can use the piece for reference. Also does it have it's original spare tire? A78x13 Goodyear or Firestone with thin white stripe. I need one more for my car. Tire must have good tread left and no sidewall cracking. Most people probably think this is crazy but even though I have modified Pintos it is more of a challenge for me to figure out how a car was assembled at the factory and then restore it to that standard.
If you've never been to the Knotts show you gotta get there. Everyone in Socal would love to see the Boss Pinto or the brown one if you can get it done that quick.
Bob
yeah, ill let you know what i can save. i dont have the original spare. :( it had a montgomery wards spare haha. plus it was all rusted. see the pics below. i was lucky they put undercoating and a rubber insert otherwise im sure it would of rusted out. see pics below. but i will keep in mind and check local wrecking yard pintos when i go. im keeping alot of the original stuff cause i know when im 50 ill wanna put it back to stock. haha im only 20 but still lol. but i will definatly keep you in mind. i will definatly be there this year at knotts. whether or not my car will be there is still up in the air. but we wil try to get the Boss pinto down there. be nice to get 3 of the rarest pintos down there. your Propane pinto, Brads Pangra, and The Boss. where are you from? san marino? im up in oakland area.
