hey pintony, strangely enough the high bidder registered just the day after the auction started. Who would bid on a car that high without pictures?? I sence some bid shielding going on there.
Robert
Well HECK!
I want to put a fictious Pinto on ebay and get everyone to bid TOO! :P
Just ME being a smart BUTT again...
I think that is SHILL bidding.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong????
You theeeenk maybe they use that "Magic Dust" you here Cheech & Chong talk about every once in awhile on the radio, (usually in December),? ???
A leeeetle more dust for Santa ? ? :o
and little more for rudolph and a little more for santa.. and little more for rudolph and a little more for santa.. and a little more for santa. haha i love cheech and chong.
yeah, I've been waiting for the photos since the 25th, when he/she said they would be posted. In the meantime, I contacted the seller asking where the photos are. The seller rerponded with "send me your e-mail." Does this mean he/she sends the photos individually to each bidder? Ridiculous. I'm staying away from this one. BUT, I am watching very closely the 1979 hatchback on ebay, seller being Sullivan Motors in Arizona. Bidding is up to $2,770, with 2 days to go. By all appearances, this is nearly the Pinto of my dreams; except for the big rip in the seat on passenger side. Presently, I have a beautiful and and very sweet 1978 robin-blue hatchback, with a little over 26,000 miles on it. Body in GREAT shape. Underside immaculate. Runs great. Bumpers need repolishing; no dents anywhere. Sunroof. I am torn. Should I be satisfied with what I got, or go for it? Obviously, I would have to sell my blue one to acquire this one on ebay because I don't have a three car garage and I'm not financially loaded (rich). I like the dash board and steering wheel better on the 1979 one because that's how I remember the ones I drove back in the 1970-80's. Yeah, nostalgia.... what should I do?
this was sent to me lol
This very well may be the one and only Catalina Pinto! Acquired by our family in Avalon, Ca 90704 in 2003, and in storage since, this unit has previously lived in a single car garage in Avalon, on Catalina Island. The first, or immediate second owners Dr. Cherry DDS and wife Helen, part time Avalon residents, most likely never exceeded 30 mph in their lifetime of ownership. The unit appears to be stock showroom (by the way everything works, including the radio), excluding the rear spring shackles. The worst degradation is the interior window winder handles and door handles. We can later forward the interior pictures when available if you request.

I dont blame you, BTW If this car has been on an Island all its days im sure there is some rust somewhere on it.
yeah i was thinking about the rust lol.. the problem with that color brown haha is that it disguises the rust cause its the same color. as i found out with my car lol. so its down to bare metal lol.
