Hey, i am new here and have had my pinto for about 1/2 a year and i was woundering what the compresson should be for a 1978 ford 2.3L? all 4 cylenders test at 150. Thanks.
Hello yellowpinto78,
The 1978, 2.3 is around 8 to 1 CR. 150 PSI on a Comp. test is outstanding!
Has your engine been rebuilt?
From Pintony
Well the guy i got it from told the story of he got it with a blown head, so he had the top half rebuilt. And from the looks of it this is true.My new problem, now I know the comp is good, is it has a Californian carb and it is not a Californian engine.
