Title: 73 headlight switch no dash light dimmer?
Post by: TIGGER on October 25, 2005, 12:01:48 AM
I just noticed my 73 does not have a the capability of adjusting the dash light brightness.  Is that correct?  It just struck me as odd when my 67 Mustang has the capability?  Can you swap the switch to a later one?

as far as I know, the non-adjustable light switch was standard in pintos from 71-73 or 74.  My 73 is non-adjustable, but the 75 wagon at the junk yard has an adjustable one.

As far as adjustable switches being an option, I dunno.  I guess ford thought the non-adjustable switch was another way to keep the cost under $2000 in 71 and ran with it.  Either way, it doesn't bother me too much as I usualy keep them as bright as they'll go anyways.  My only problem with the 73 is they aren't bright enough.
