Imagine if you will you won the Ed Mcmahon $10million. You've bought the house, new car,ETC, now you want to fix up the beloved Pinto. What would you do if money was no object? Think about it, there may be someone who reads this with the $$$ to build your dream.
My "pipe dream" is a full tube frame conversion. Fully independent pushrod activated suspension. full carbon fiber body. Push the front wheels forward 3" move the fronr seats back 3" to allow for the all wheel drive system, and supercharged 4liter V6. All this to go corvette hunting on the SCCA autocross circuit :P
My ultimate... 4.6 all aluminum Cobra engine, Kenny Bell twin screw roots style blower on the top with integral intercooler and a built AOD with a trans brake and a set of 4:30's in the nine inch. On a side note, it will fit! I measured for it as my local wrecking yard has a Lincoln mark VIII engine for $700, i didn't get it because the cut the loom all to heck and i wasn't up for that wiring challenge, maybe someday! By the way, thats a VERY streetable 600+ horsepower, with overdrive even!
I'd do the 2.5 setup like Brad's. Use a Viper/Ford 6spd. Carbonfiber driveshaft. Tube frame, 9 inch, some kinda huge brake setup, cage, 16in. wheels......then hed out to the Silver State Classic. How fast could we go? ;D
Four Words... Five Second Pro Mod!!! ;D
i changed my mind, i'd do a 6.8 liter V10 with the Kenny Bell twin screw "Blowzilla" supercharger! 415 Cubic Inches of V10 power......yea
id just put a bigger engine in mine :o
Well, since money is no object.....
I like some seats that Scat and Corbeau offer
HID headlights
Aluminum 32V engine
6 speed trans
AWD for winter driving
First of all, I'd buy a huge garage forget the house. Then I'd buy a fleet of Pintos, one from every year. I'd fix them all into mint shape and I'd have all my friends drive them downtown in a parade. As for my car, I'd totally rebuild it from scratch including every nut and bolt!
here the twin screw supercharger for the V10......over 500 hp on the STOCK motor! :o
