i have a 2.3 in the 1979 and was wondering what the valve lift and duration was (a link if possible) i want to know because i am rebuilding a head to put on it and want a better cam ;D

I do not know what the spec on the stock cam is but here is some NEW cams to look at for the Ford 2.3.

i know that those negines like short duration and decent lift, and all i have specs for is a later mustang 2.3 which might not be the same

The Stock Ford Ranger "Roller" Cam is a great swap for any 2.3.

Actually, they only like short dur. If you are going to do a turbo application. Other wise you might want a mild dur. cam like something in the 240 @ .050 and a 530 + lift cam.
