Hello Group,
Has anyone bought a kit to rebuild the T-5 for the 4cylinder?
Had my Purple Pinto out to a car cruze at johnny rockets last night.
I think I have hurt my input shaft bearing.
I will have to pull it down to see BUT I'm thinking that the noise that has been getting worse since the turbo install is at the point that I HAVE to re-build.
Suggestions on a T-5 rebuild kit please.
Best place to purchase and price.

Hi Pintony
When I was researching a 5 speed for my Jaguar Kit Car (you responded to my posting a few minutes ago), Standard Transmission in Fort Worth Tx (800-783-8726) was one of the more knowledgable shops I spoke to, and they said they had a T5 with the new bell housing I would need for about $850 (excludes shipping) so presumably the trans only would be less. A bit pricey, but if you wanted just the parts they could probably help out. Good luck!
I just saw on ebay a rebuild kit for the "World Class" T5 for Mustang and Cobra 1985 on, the auction has 5 days to go. I don't know if this would work for the 4 cyl version or not, seller is "transmissionexchangeco" and a contact email is spencer@txchange.com. "Buy it now" is $90. Kit does not include synchros. Enjoy!
Hi Pintony
hopefully you will come back to check this posting...
I recently came across a couple of web sites recommended by a T5 aficionado - they should be good for parts and / or information.
www.hanlonmotorsports.com
www.astroperformance.com
... and thanks again for your input on my kit car tranny question from a few weeks ago.

Hanlon IS where I purchased the kit that I used.
