I have a 74 pinto wagon. when i turn on my parking lights, my turn signals don't work, or slow way down. Any help where to start looking? I have parking light problems already. Some lights don't work. Thanks for any help. Steven
Pinto_dude,
First start with a NEW flasher.
2nd check the grounds near your headlights on the core support.

The Flasher is good. There are 2 flashers, one for turn signals and one for emergency lights. Both have power going in. No power (0 volts)going out when lights are not being used. When I turn on the parking lights i get less a 1 volt of power going thought the output side of the turn signal flasher. Still 0 volts from the emergency flasher output. Is this supposed to happen? Again, the turn signals work when the parking lights are not on. I am checking the grounds, so far they all seem to be good. thanks
OK, Sounds like you have a frayed wire somewhere near the bulb.
Also if you have replaced the Neg. Battery cable?
Make sure that you have a good ground to the body as well as the engine block.

thanks Pintony for all your help. I found my problem. My light sockets in the front were connecting power between my parking lights and turn signals. I pulled the lights out and everything works great now. thanks and i hope this might help others out.
check flasher (common for those to croak) and fuses
