Title: about the san jose plant.

does anyone know what number that the plant started making the pinto's in 71.  cause im sure it wasnt, 1 cause im sure that was in detroit. any info about what number unit they started on would be awesome. my pinto was the 171096th made at the san jose plant.   any help would be awesome thanks guys. also if anyone needs emblems refurbished ican make them look brand new. just shoot me an email and ill tell you the trick  :)  thanks

The san Jose plant started with 100,000
So your Pinto was the 71,096 unit made for that year.

Each plant has consecutive unit numbers so doesn't each plant start out at 1?
Actually it would be 100001.
