Hello Group,
The Route 66 Mother road festival is this W/E in Springfield Illinois
Starting at Sept 30-oct 2nd Friday night 6:30 at the DOT parking lot.
12 mile parade "Police escorted" through Springfield and ending down town where you can park on the closed down streets. 700 Custom and antique cars attended last year.
BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!
Dennis Guage from "My classic car" will be there saturday and sunday.

Only about 3 1/2 hrs. from Chi-town.

Hey Tony...Not Chi-town...Chico,California...a bit more of a drive time and I ain`t as young as I used ta be...my Pinto would make it...not sure about me...dern it!! >:(

Dude you have the greatest Route 66 event in the world in your back yard, every sept there the Route 66 Rendezvous in San Berninadino. Over 10,000 cars and cruzing 24/7 for four days, ive gone for the past three years and i live in NC. Its a great cruise in bar none.
