My C4 doesn't have long enough legs on the interstate. Has anyone installed the AOD (with the 302) in a Pinto?
it will fit with some clearancing from a BFH on the transtunnel. It is longer than a C4 and the mount will be further back a bit so a custom bracket would have to be fabbed up.
Hey Hoots!!!!Take some pick of your engine compartment. I wanna see how you did it. You have a 302 right?

Yeah, 302 with C4 tranny with the truck housing, no BFH required. It's quite the process of getting all parts in place. The tranny has to be installed from the bottom while the engine is lowered in place, without the exhaust manifolds on yet. Once the engine and tranny are bolted together then I lowered the unit to install the manifolds, then raised up to install the engine mounts. Here's some pics. Check in the 'Your Project' section here, I have a thread called 'work in progress'.
WOW!
Now that has to be the cleanest V8 install I have seen.
GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!
