What fuel mileage does Pinto achieve ?? I know it's VERY subjective, but state the following....

- Engine Size
- Auto/Manual trans
- Rear end Gear ratio
- Mods

Our stock pinto gets 20ish with 2.3 auto, 3.18 gears. I don't know what the EPA rated them for.

My average for city/hwy is about 26/27.  The best i've ever gotten was 32 on a long trip up the interstate and back.  Thats with a stock 73 runabout with a 2.0, 4 speed, and 3:45 gears.   Wondering how much it will improve when I add a 5 speed and EFI...

Hey there, Uno when i had my 2000cc i managed to get 25mpg on a long trip. This was with a 390 holley ,offy ported dual port, erson mild cam and C4 with the stock 3:18 rear, and 215 60 14 in the rear.
However "normal driving" i used to average about 18-20  with this setup.
My 97 ranger with a 2.3 and efi and 5 speed averages 24 if i drive it like "grandma" and 20 normaly. Cosidering that its pushing alot more frontal area and its much heavier than an early Pinto , i bet you could average 28 to 30 in a swap . Good luck
