SOLD MY 1978 PINTO PONY TODAY. :'( IT WENT TO A GOOD HOME I THINK.I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW IN 78. PAYMENTS WERE $54.00 A MONTH, BABYED IT ONLY HAD 17.000 MILES ON IT.ONE OF A KIND SURVIVER. HAD LOTS OF FUN AT CAR SHOWS.I'LL MISS IT, MY HEALTH STOPED ME GOING TO CAR SHOWS AND DRIVING IT. I WANTED IT TO BE ENJOYED , NOT SITTING IN GARAGE. HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY YOUR CARS AS MUCH ;D GOD BLESS, KEEP THE SHINEY SIDE UP... ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) SKY
Any Pics? I am sure it's a bittersweet moment for you.
Happy Motoring!

We have a blue '78 hatchback....would have loved to have been the buyer, but garage space is the issue.
Curious as to what you were able to sell it for...
Oh...I see it was a show car with trophies...hope you got top dollar for it!
Sky,
Normally I would be hesitant to congratulate someone for selling their Pinto... especially after owning it for 43 years! In this case however, I applaud your decision; while your health isn't allowing you to enjoy your car, you still care enough about it to turn it over to a new owner. I'm glad you found a worthy custodian to care for your Pinto. Congratulation s!
Dwayne :)
THANKS. THE GUY AND HIS WIFE WHO BOUGHT IT SENT ME A COUPLE PICTURES OF IT IN FRONT OF THEIR HUGE OLD MAIL POUCH PAINTED BARN WHICH THEY RESTORED. IT WAS BITTERSWEET BUT SOO AWSOME TO SEE IT IS SHOWING ALL IT'S GLORY ! I THINK THEY LIKE IT.....GOD BLESS SKY :'( ;D :)
I always tell people that I am not the owner, but a current caretaker of the Pinto I have in my care! :-)
Happy Motoring!
