Specifically for the 8 inch rear?
2 inch inner width, and I am not finding any that size.
Thanks,
Russ
Any spring shop has or can make them....
Are you talking about the u-bolts that go over the axle tubes? Which 8"rear? I've never heard of them being as small as 2.0".
Yep.
The MII rear tubes are 2 inches. I thought they were bigger also, but I measured both a ubolt and the tube. I knew they were smaller at the ends than a normal 8inch, but not this small.
I have found a place online, but with shipping it will be about $45 for 4, with nuts and washers. Half inch diameter, the stock ones are about 7/16ths.
Have to think about that one for a bit. This is part of the "it's been a while since I have done this stuff sticker shock".
Thanks,
Russ
I want to say the last time I put lowering blocks on one of my Pinto's I got u-bolts from the local trailer parts supply store. They were tons cheaper than having them made and they were on the shelf.
Thanks! Good idea.
Russ
I just put these on an 8" out of a 1977 Mustang II into my Pinto wagon.
Slightly longer than stock...but perfectly bent.
$7.61 each with free shipping...
