Greetings-
I have a brown 74 Pinto Squire woody wagon and the wood grain vinyl on the passenger's side and the back gate is faded and cracked from sitting undriven in the sun in the same spot for a few years (ACK!) â€" the driver’s side, however, is near perfect.
Does anyone know what the best way is to go about restoring this? If you have done it, is it difficult? I've been using that ArmorAll spray (or whatever it's called) and that makes it look decent for a few weeks, but that’s only temporary. I’ve scoured the internet for kits, but have had little luck finding anything on this. (links anyone?!)
This may sound bizarre, but would it work to “stain†it with anything to at least make it a little darker in the mean time?
Thanks for any tips/help!

Hello Micycle
Fake wood enthusiast,
To find the original pattern would be tough.
BUT you can buy replacement wood film from a auto repar shop.
Any body supply house can order the film.
MOST NAPA aut parts have samples of the film you need.

If you're looking for the material, there is someone on eBay that sells it for the Jeep Grand Wagoneer at $35 per panel. Cherry is the closest to matching what was on the Pinto. The only drawback is that it is a bit shinier than original. They will also need to be cut to fit, but it's not too difficult because the vinyl fits just inside the "nails" and holes used for attaching the surround moldings. Hope this helps!
There are some on Ebay right now. Check out item number 4574114043. I does not say exactly all what it includes but I am sure you can send them a mail and ask. Good luck.
