Title: dash lights
Post by: robw on August 24, 2005, 01:05:18 AM
I am trying to replace a few dash lights in my stallion but can't figure out how to get the speedo cable off of the back of the guage cluster. also on a 1980 2.3/auto where is the back-up light switch,on the shifter or transmission.also what are you guys running for oil pressure, mine is right on 60 PSI cold and once it warms up it drops to about 52 PSI. just wondering what you guys have. thank you in advance

Hello Rob,
the Pinto speedo cable is held in by a plastic retainer that needs to be pushed to release.
It is not as much a squeeze as a sideways push to one side.
