I've got a 80' pinto with a 2.3 and am trying to hook up a mechanical oil pressure guage but can't find where it goes i think it is under the intake(a big mushroom shaped thing),but am not sure any help would be appreciated. and where did you guys mount your guages in your car. thanks
Hello robw,
Yess! that is the correct location.
Under the 2.3 intake manifold.
You will need a special socket to remove that sucker though.
You may get lucky if you can get on the sender with a box end 12 point wrench
22MM I think????

I found an old sending unit on the back of the block in the head and took it out and it had oil in there so I hooked it there.seems fine, does it really matter if it is there or under the intake.thanks :-\
Doesnt matter.
OOPS! was I thinking 2.0 again???
Somebody help me out here???
