Hey all. Been a while since I've been on. Last time I was smashing pintos in demo derbies but with recent back problems I'm sidelined probably for good. So I found a 74 trunk model with 41000 miles for $700. I'm thinkin full resto. Going to need patch panels for rear quarters, rust fix on bottom drivers door, new leafs and shocks, rear bumper is rotted, dash pad is cracked and rear panel over trunk is tore up. Have alot of work ahead of me. Has a 2.3 4spd. Can't wait to start getting this thing looking good again.
Looks like a good project. '74 Pintos are near and dear to my heart... that's what my very first one was! Have fun and keep us updated as you progress along!

Congrats on the find, good luck on the project..
Thanks! I'very never done body work before and from what I have heard where my rust is I'm going to have to fabricate the pieces. Really excited to learn a new skill
Got a new set of tires. New plugs, wires, coil. Red necked the door pins with old fuel hose now they close all the way. Got a new bumper and arm rest coming. Don't know how but my passenger side door handle is broke on the inside. Added a cb too.
Had a productive day today. Arm rests, window cranks, and passenger inside door handle all fixed. And painted the rims. The color was a little brighter then I was expecting but I like it.
Way cool.. 8)
Little update. I haven't done much. Just started to add a aftermarket fm/aux receiver. Not wanting to butcher the stock radio mount, I'm looking at making a custom mount. Also adding speakers in the back. Going to make my own package tray cover too. Still running strong too. I'm up to 51000 miles already. Love this car
looks like you're on your way to having a real cool car..

Yup! 1974 is my favorite year for Pintos... mainly because I bought my first one brand new that year!
