Title: '72 Front Brakes
Post by: TonyB on August 06, 2005, 03:37:52 PM
Anyone find a source fro metallic pads for a stok '72?   I found Raybestos Semi's (PN PGD36R), but would really prefer to have the metallics again.

Also, anyone turn a set of really rusted (10yr) rotors?   Or, should I not bother & just buy new?

TIA,
Tony

Hey Tony,
Last time I priced NEW rotors for the 1971-73 Pinto they were 120+ BUCKS.
You better see if you can turn what you have! ;D

Pintony,
Thanks....Yeah, that was a bit of a shocker.

Any thoughts on better than organic pads?

Hey TonyB,
There are limited choices on the early brake pad.
The Early Pinto has superior braking though.
Just shop around and ask Questions.
I called Racer Walsh and they no longer carry them.
