Title: The case of the quivering lip.
Post by: 76hotrodpinto on October 27, 2015, 11:50:36 AM
I'm tired of the fellas laughing at my pintos quivering lip!

It's actually the grill shaking, but they call it a quivering lip. I have, what I think, is a 74-75 front end on my 76. I also have no hood latch or factory center grill support. I think I have the center of the grill taken care of with a custom support to the bumper, but the fenders flex a little and still the lip quivers.

I can see down on the core support, by the head light bucket mounting area of the fender, what looks like mounting holes for the slanted turn signals? Tying the fender and core support together via the turn signal housing? Or is it a separate bracket? I want to tie it all together to stop the quivering, but I don't want slanted blinkers.

My question would be, Is there a little bracket that goes there originally? Or should I just fab them out? Easy fab, but I would rather have factory parts, if that's an option.
