It is not my intention to complain. I am grateful just to have the sight. I notice that there used to be "Post since your last visit" and "response to your post" I would love to see those again.

I use it all the time, it's on top left corner under your user name??.

Yup, that's what I use to navigate through all the forum posts.

Maybe something is wrong on my end. I show up on left hand side as user but I don't get the function I mentioned

To the right of the 'Logout' link on the top of the site (main menu) you will see an down arrow (or up)... click this to show or hide your user profile information and you will see this link you are after...
