thnx guys..really need to detail engine bay now ::)
Tape it up real well when you do and find some thick bed sheets to cover the front end to not scratch the paint , don't let the wife know or you wish you had a Pinto wagon to sleep in if she finds out 🙀

You know, it really looks good. I have a 79 I need to paint, and that orange looks awesome. Blue interior though in decent shape. I gotta think about spraying it black now :)
Thanks! Gave me more ideas!

Blue definitely limits your color choices

I have choices, LOL - blue, dark blue, light blue, medium blue, and black and even grey! Hummm someone had a grey one here that looked awesome!
If you interior is in great shape and the body is straight you can color match the seat color with the outside color , but make it a deep mailtalic blue , with some nice wheels , that will turn heads for sure ,

I'm thinking a metallic grey now! That should match fine with the blue interior!

9" rears have lots of options. I'm certain you can get chucks and axles if you need them :) Not a dead pig yet, just a wounded pig :D
yap, youre right..i have to drop the pig, and see whats actually wounded...
well, pulled the pig.....seems like spiders gears are toast. also have an open differential....musta got lucky spinnin both tires. anyway, im looking for a complete 3rd member 28 spline , locker, steeper gears, high 3.00's..... :o

F-150 - lots have 3:91
Smooth backed diff or hump back ?
Smooth, you will have to grind some flange out for fitting.
Humpback bolts right in.
reeves, i have the smooth back, so i quess i may pass on steeper gears. actually im looking into a lunchbox locker, powertrax, aussie, monkey grip style. i like the ease of install and price.....and i can install into my open diff.....
Last year I picked up a hump back diff housing/big axle bearings & it's like new: no rust = rare.
This one is for the blue car.
It will be narrowed.
Just found a Detroit Locker for it.
