Does anyone have a source for a '72 2.0 clutch cable? Will one from a '74-80 pinto work?
Thanks!
Tony
Hey Tony,
I am a EARLY Pinto guy, BUT if memory servs then yes the 74 cable will work.
You will have to remove the plastic nut that will come on the 74 cable and put the nuts from your original cable on.
Has been a while since I even had the STOCK Pinto 4speed. I'm running the Borg Warner T5.

PINTONY,
Thaks for the reply. Spoke with a mustang buddy....Apparently the 80's 'stangs use a ball type end on the pedal side (and clutch fork side) of the cable. Should work ok. I'll let you know when I get that far. Still waiting for phx to cool off. Got another 2 months to go before I can work outside (for long perionds) again.
Thanks!
Tony
