WTB KONI PINTO front shocks. Single adjustable / orange/red color/front only. (rdelliott2@cox.net 479-365-2214)
I have the part number in the shop - will post later.
Does it matter the year ? Mine are for 1972.
Seems to me, they do not make them anymore ?
They have them, but expensive as all heck!

All Pintos are the same for the front shocks. Only difference is the rears for a wagon.
My front adjustable Koni shocks : 80-2287SP1
Rears on mine are different due to the set up & have eyes on both ends ( 80-2167).

1972 Pinto rears have a pin on each end.

Here is a link to the front shocks but I don't know if they are red or adjustable "D" like the early ones. Should contact the seller before buying. My NOS set in the box has 80B-2287 SP-1 "D". They are red and going on my new (to me) 74.
Note: I just did a little more research and the ones on the link below are the yellow "Sport" versions and not what you are requesting (Red).http://www.eshocks.com/bil_Ind.asp?VC=16Q19&SubChar=Q (http://www.eshocks.com/bil_Ind.asp?VC=16Q19&SubChar=Q)

The Pinto front KONI shocks have not been made for 5 or so years so they will only be available second hand (new or not). If you can find cores, KONI will rebuild them at $150+ each (Ouch). I was lucky to find a NOS pair on E-bay recently. Below is a real potential alternative shock that IS still being produced by KONI. I believe it is for a 1968 Camaro REAR turned upside down. If you mod the mounting (with tubing) and turn it upside down, it is as close as you will find and what I was going to mod until I found the real deals.

On the left is the Camaro rear shock. The two to the right are new style and old style front Pinto shocks

This is the Camaro shock close up with the part number (80A-1914). You would need to add a dust cover like the Pinto shocks but that would be fairly easy taken from any other type of shock and painted orange/red

This is a picture of the tubing I have used in the past to make the new tube mounts. In the picture it looks like it is not a match because of the camera angle and the fact that the original is beveled on the end but it is a match.

I've had these forever. Still new, never installed. My plan decades ago was for a 71 V8 project that never happened. I'm pretty sure these were 71-73 adjustable red fronts.

Gave up on the Konis and installed KYB shocks. Now I have a pair of used car Konis rear shocks for sale. $50 + shipping for the pair.
