Title: replacing carb

What is the best and cheapest carb to replace the original 2bbl on a 75 2.3
I ran into some one a year ago and they told me they just got an old one from a truck 302 turned it sideways to fit on the stock manifold and hooked it up with a ten speed bike cable .
I am in Phoenix AZ if there is any one here in town ... Any way any suggestions thank you

Bible book of carbs rule #1...............best and cheapest do not belong in the same sentence together. Those that think they do use ten speed bike cables....................LOL

Uh, no.  That post was in February of last year.  The last time he was active on this site was in July of last year.
