Considering that it is a cruising wagon, I dont think you paid too much for it. Especially since the a/c works.  Looks like you've got a lot of body work a head of you if you plan to restore it,(all the little dings) can get time consuming.  You are going to need a new floor pan, though. As long as the metal around the floor pan is still solid(I.E the rocker panel areas and the area under the back seat) it shouldn't be too bad to fix.  I'm the kind of person that doesn't feel there are too many cars worth more than 500 bucks, but I like the cruising wagons and the panel wagons.  yes there is a dash speaker, just one in the middle.
You need to make sure that the metal around the unibody connections is good and solid before you get too gung-ho about throwing money at it. check the area where the front frame channels connect to the floor, along the big seams inside the front fenders on the firewall portion,  look where the rear springs bolt on the car and the big seams that run back thru there and the fender well area.  these are where the most structural strength of the car are. ( poke with a screw driver, tap with a hammer, get a good magnet and see if it sticks)  cause some of us are really good at hiding stuff like that from the inspection guys, if it is a must have so we can get to work ;). If these areas are bad, and you just want the car for a while til you get all your teenage bumps and dings and bangs, and accidental "I dont know know how the car got in the ditch dad, I really dont" out of your system,  then just do what it takes to seal up the floor and make it look inspectable( fiberglass matting and tiger hair).  If it is really spongy in those areas, then you paid too much for it, cause it isn't safe to drive.  One good run thru a ditch could pull the rear end and springs right out from under the car. The reason im stressing this is cause from your pictures it looks like the car has a slight twist to it, but it could just be the lighting and the angle you took the pictures from, (or my imagination) :-\
Jack the car up and pull the wheels off and take some good pictures of the areas I described and post them on here ( use good lighting), and we could help give you a better idea of whether or not its in bad shape.  How many miles are on it?  Hope I didn't give you too much to lose sleep over, But I dont want to see someone get hurt.  My race car is spongy in all those areas I described, but for the class im racing in it makes it easier for me.  I can unbolt the bumpers and straighten my frame rails with a pipe wrench and a 4 foot pipe. plus it makes it easier to stretch certain places that need stretching. I wouldn't have sacrificed a v-6 car for the track if it was in restorable shape anyway.

thanks for the info ill definately be puttin some more pictures so far the only rust i ound is the floorboards and around the hatch area but the reason i asked about the dash speakers is because it looks like a speaker should be there but there isnt one
