Title: rear main seal in my swaped motor

i have a 79 pinto with a 69 5.0l with a c5 tranny. didnt do the swap so my rear main is leaking is there an easy way to do it?

NO NOT EASY!
69 5.0 had a 2 piece seal so you will have to remove the oil pan.

completely remove or just pull it down

You will have to pull the pan off and remove the rear main cap, you may also have to loosen the other main caps so you can work the new seal around the crank. Make sure to check the crank for any grooves, I have seen people install new seals only to have them leak again soon afterwards.

how do i pull the motor and transmission out of the car the easiest way
