Does anybody sell these things?
And, just what are they for? Just spacers, or for noise reduction?
I can re-use the ones I have, but I would rather get new since I am going to all the trouble of blasting and repainting the springs.
Thanks,
Russ
The spacers are anti-squeak/spring sliders. I don't know of anybody who has them as replacements. You could make them if you can find the right material. Good luck on the project.
you need what they call leaf spring pads , they go in the square hole at each end , they cost a little over a buck each and you can find them on e bay or any spring re-arch shop, but if your springs have any deep rust spots it will crack and brake there, replace in sets and not just one , JC Whitney had a set for my saggy pinto cruiser Wagon
My Sunbeam Tiger had circular indents in the spring. I used faucet washers and packed the center hole with grease. Sadly it is year 15 and it is still on jackstands so I can't tell how well they work. :(
I have even left the spacers completely off before and no noise issues at all.
Thanks,
I guess I can just reuse the old ones.

I may have found a source for these.
I have ordered some and will let you all know if they are the right size.
Thanks,
Russ
Speedway has them in their street rod catalog.
