I'm installing a freshened motor that I horse traded for.
First, I had to put it together. Priming the oil pum, oil is shooting ot the center cam bearing tower. I now find out there's supposed to be a sprayer up there.
I need to get one (and banjo bolt/ gasket).
Any ideas where I can find one new or used?
Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies should have them as they sell all the rest of 2.0L parts for racing.
I have an NOS one in the box that I paid $25 for & needed until I got a complete extra engine with one & don't need it now. I don't think it takes banjo bolts. The ends plug in the oil passage, no gaskets, no O rings
I'd be happy to buy it from you. Would it be possible to send it priority mail?
I can send paypal immediately.
Thanks
I'm on the road until Friday & if I get home early I can get it out then, or Saturday at the latest. It's very light weight & might make 1st class. Send me your address & I'll get it out when I get home & you can pay me then
I may be wrong, but I remember o rings where the bar plugs into the head. No big deal as I made some out of rubber tubing with a razor blade. The spray bar is held on the head with a bolt thru tab made onto the bar. If the tab should break, which they do from time to time, the oil pressure will push the bar away from the head and make one hell of an oil leak while filling up the valve cover with oil. It can get so bad that there will no longer be enough oil in the pan to feed the bearings. After that happened to me, I always safety wired the bar to the head.
I had to take the oiler off to remove the head bolts on my 73 engine & there weren't any on it. The oiler fit tight in the holes. I hope someone didn't forget them
