how rare is the crank back sunroof? I have only seen two.it took both to make one good one.cut top of junked pinto so to have to make it easier to put in one late.no longer have sedan to put it on.
They're pretty rare. Rarer still is one that works.... ;-)
i haven't tried it out for a while. I may use some wd40 to get it ready to try. Were they availlable in wagons?i don't think on for sedan will work.
So far I have only seen them on hatchbacks. No wagons or sedans to date. I had a 75 hatchback a few years back with a working crank back sunroof. Unfortunately the car was too rusty to repair but I also kept the roof as I could not bring myself to scrap it.
What is the right type of lube for the ford crank back sunroof used in pintos.I am trying to get one ready for another member.
My 73 hatch has a factory crank back sunroof. Works fine but tends to leak. Cleaned the drains but still have the occasional leak.
What kind of maintenance have you done to it?thanks.
The roof and cranking mechanism work well. Just cleaned the drains out and that helped with the leakage but I really need to replace the rubber stripping for a better seal.
