does anyone know what the pinion Angle is on a 80 pinto, I'm sure its the same for 74 and up...

its pretty simple if for a stock app.... it needs to be the exact opposite of the angle of the trans
Pinturbo75, its not exactly a standard/stock setup. it's a 2.3T with a C4, a Aerostar aluminum driveshaft and a narrowed ford explorer 8.8 rear axle assy. that being said, would there be any difference in the pinion angle setup ?
3-5 degrees will do it.
im running a 2.3 turbo with t5, aluminum driveshaft, and 8.8... to start off with I used the opposite angle of the trans and then added 2 degrees of negative offset on the rear.. only because I drag race the car occasionally.. that extra allows for the rear to correct alignment under hard acceleration....
Got it, that's what I was thinking would be right. thanks to all... one more question for Pinturbo, what driveshaft are you using ? not sure weather I need a bigger/stronger one or not ?
I got one from a crown vic and had it shortened and new ujoints and correct ends added
