Looking for something other than the Maxxis 185-80-13 in a radial. Anyone have options..
Tks,

There are other 13" tires out there but most of the name brand tires are long gone. In the size you specified even the large internet tire seller "Tire Rack" only carried trailer tires. It seems England has a fairly decent access to 13" tires (or as they say "tyres"), but then you pay for shipping. Doing an internet search is your best bet. You will have to have the tires shipped and then find a local installer.
In the end you will likely find "no name" tires out there. If you find a name brand tire you had better check the date code because they are probably old.
Thanks Wittsend.
You are correct, the only thing I'm finding is in Europe. I saw a Coker Tire that looked good and has the .60" white wall. They are a bit on the high side but compared to shipping from Europe, they are a deal.
FracMonkey.
have you looked on Ebay?

I have a new set of Falken Sincera 185/70/13 Never mounted. Bought new from Discount Tires in Feb. $200 plus shipping.
From the options Brian posted it seems like the "bang for the buck tire" is the Kumho KR21's. My Sunbeam Tiger buddies suffer like we do. 13" tire are period correct for the Tiger too. Many have "classic" wheels to the time period that only came in 13." Anyway, the last time someone in that group came asking they got a set of KR21's.
I put a set of Kumho KR21's on one of my 84 escorts, I was very pleased w/the ride...
summer tire only, any traction in the winter was by accident, not design
I bought and installed a set of the Federal 205 60 13 tires last year. No problems even in the heat of the Stampede!
Great info everyone.
dick1172762- are those a white wall
