Hello again guys my trans lines were cut at the trans. There seems to be three lines does anyone know which ones do what so when I hook them to a cooler it does not explode? Thanks again.
The two that goes into the case itself are oil, the other one would be from the modulator that is vacuum.
If just using an air cooler and not going through radiator then the two oil lines do not matter, they can go to cooler either way, the direction of flow does not matter unless you have a specific directional flow cooler, most are not.

The vacuum controls shift points it goes from modulator to manifold vacuum..

Moreover, you need the line hooked up as it is the load sense for the transmission. It will shift hard enough to break parts with it disconnected. As the vacuum varies the shift gets harder or softer, it needs to get harder as car speed goes up to allow for more power applied to the transmission. That force going up and down is what allows clutches in trans to last longer.
Ok I see the module but that is not it. There are 2 lines that were toward the bell in the same area may even be the same hole. Then there is a hole for something right under that, and then 1 toward the back of the trans. I would like to know what these are before I hook everything up. This is a ford c3 trans. Thanks for any help you can give.

There are 3 connection points at the Bell. The one facing backwards connects to the rear opening with a short tube. the other 2 go to the hard lines connected to the radiators transmission cooler. I do not think that it matters which side of the radiator trans cooler is in, or out.

If using both radiator cooler and external you go to radiator first then external...............if either one by itself does not matter.
