It's actually a 1980 but I swapped the front clip and the panels from a 77.

Currently she has this orange rattle can paint job until I can afford to have her professionally painted. It's not perfect but it works!

Looks pretty good for rattle can,LOL.. Dumb question, how do those panels fasten on, do you have to take out all the glass and weld them in or are they a bolt on deal?, wouldn't mind doing that on mine if it isn't a major job.

Haha, thanks! And the panels screw on on both ends and there's covers to go over the screws there, then you also have to put a bunch of screws in on the inside. It's not too bad of a job. The hard part is making the panels for the inside. Another member on here had all the parts and pieces to do that and I bought them from him. And I still haven't gotten a chance to tackle it haha.
Thanks, don't sound too hard to do then, once I get this thing all squared away I may do that they sure look cool.
Definitely not bad for rattle cans. Sometimes when Maaco runs a special it's worth looking into. I don't even know how cheap they are nowadays but it was $299 if you were prepped for paint.
74- I did forget to mention that getting the regular wagon glass out was horrible haha. I broke the drivers side rear piece.

I might look into that. I think there's a Maaco in Huntsville here. I'll have to check.
I have done the swap my self and broken the drivers side glass as well. Did Ford make them cheap or what ? You can strip the paint with a heat gun and roll on an enamel paint but you either need to add some Flomatel or some thinner to the paint to cut down on the roller marks. Epoxy is nice but pretty pricey . Around here in FLA it's a good idea because of the salt water in the air.....

Apparently they did. They're hard to get out. And I've had a heck of a time stripping anything at all off of it. The chalkboard paint was the worst idea I ever had. If I could get my hands on some Naval Jelly I'd gladly take it haha
