Title: Front suspension tech

Is the MII stuff the same as my 1972?

Not very much of it, if it has an 8" rear that would be about the only part you could use.   You could still use the front suspension but you would have to do some modifications, it wouldn't be a direct swap. 
   74-78 mustang II stuff can be swapped to 74-80 pinto.
