Just got my 71 running and checked fuel milage in town, about 25 mpg. This is with a 2300 eng, new carb, roller cam(ranger) and t-5, all else stock. Is this about right for this combo?
Sure beats the 15 to 17 my 2.3/auto wagon is eeking out. I suspect that will Improve once I find time to install the NOS carb but 25 sounds about right. I've seen a few posts claiming higher but I suspect it's in the light foot & better driving habits of some out there.
Yea- sounds right- I'm getting 24 on my 72 w/2000 4 Speed with offenhouser intake.. all else is stock.
I have 94 Ranger 2.3 with 5 spd. in my 73, I get 25 miles per gallon. Fred :)
