The 79 Mustang is a totally different animal from the 79 Pinto so it is not a direct fit. There are actually no direct fit floors made for the Pinto. Your best bet is to find someone that has some good floors from a parts car or fabricate something up.

Try the 1974-78  Mustang II floor pans for size. It's not a match. Or you can use flat sheet metal and have some beads  rolled into for strength. There is limited sheet metal parts for the Pinto. You might not be able to duplicate the factory pans but you can come close..

The Mustang II front floor pans are not an exact fit, but they are pretty close.  I used them in my 1972 Pinto.

I'm gonna get 1 and see how it works out. I'll look at the 78 mustang II floor pans also.

The best thing to do Wbacon is to stick with a Pinto pan.  Going with a Mustang pan, you have to do too many modifications
I will have the yard mechanic check stock tomorrow (Sunday) to see if there is a pan for you!!!!

there is not a lot of mods to use the mustang 2 pans... i used them..... the 75 and 76 pinto have a different tranny tunnel than all other years and they require a bit of mods but nothing major.... do a search for floor pans under my name and there should be a thread with pics.....

I don't know where you're from bud, but here in south east Missouri I know of a guy who has a blue '79-'80 with solid floors.
