Here's a shot of a 80 Pinto I've been working on for the last year. Put alot of work into it, should have it out this coming spring, I hope, lol.
Looks good,whats the drivetrain setup?
Nice 8)
That does look good 8) I do like the way you have the big bumpers pulled in..
Drivetrain is a sbc and powerglide.
The bumpers are fiberglass.

It's a 2x3 chassis, CM cage, Strange Strut front end, 4 link rear, 9"/ all strange components including aluminum center section. About all thats left of what i originally bought is the shell and main frame rails. Basically we had to replace the cage (old one wouldn't certify nhra) moved the fuel cell up front, switched the front suspension from a arm to struts, all new tin work, made new headers (ceramic coated them), new motor plates, etc. Pretty much a new car, lol. Should be a nice piece when it's done. I'll load some more pictures in a few days. Thanks for the positive feedback.
OP, your pinto was so nice looking at first, I had to register just to comment. Unfortunately, imagine my disappointment when I continued scrolling down only to find that you had violated that beautiful Pinto with a Chevrolet motor and transmission. ;D I'm not trying to rag on you or anything (I own a chevrolet, too, myself), after all I don't know your situation. Did you make this choice for a financial reason ( I understand the Chevrolet motor is a far more economical choice)? Do you know how to work on a Ford engine, or is it just not your sort of thing? I'm just honestly trying to understand what made you do this, as opposed to what I would do. Why not a Ford v8 swap, like a small block (302 or 351 windsor, maybe?)? Like, all due respect, what were you thinking, my man? I just have genuine interest in Pintos, and I like to hear people's stories.
If you'd like, I could tell you what I would do with what you have. Who knows, maybe I'll make an impact on your decision-making! LOL! ;)
i don't care what anyone says. that is a real good lookin' car
