just a quick mock-up of what I desire with my dash.
thats gonna be one fast car.....20 mph just sittin there...... :D
spent a little time in my shop and moved the dash project a little closer to the finish line, still need to clear coat the walnut which will really bring out the beauty of the wood. ordered a black dash cap and will strip the red off and paint it a silver gray color to go with my 5 point straps. if interested there are pictures in my gallery.
That is going to be one of the nicest dashes out there, for sure..
Where did you get the seats??
John, the seats came from an outfit called speed daddy 360.00 pr w/sliders & shipping. Very happy with the quality and they fit very nice, also bought the radiator from them 180.00 3 core w/ 2 10'' elec. fans also with shipping. I do custom woodworking for a paycheck so the dash is right in my wheelhouse, mostly just love to fabricate.
spent a little more time on the dash, blasted-painted-dash cap-finished walnut and ta-da!! I epoxied a 1/4 x 2 x 2 3/4 steel plate under the tach area of the dash cap so I could drill and tap for monster tach mount, worked great.
Very nicely done.
beautiful, i cant wait to see everything finish.
;D Very Nice! you are really doing the Pinto up Great. I wish I could see it in person ,and Drool.
Thanks for all the kind words, I added some of the'' in process'' pictures in my gallery. I sure do enjoy working on the hot rod and hope to make my fellow Pinto family proud. mrskydog when you do see it in person you will drive it not drool over it, we'll leave that to the brands of hot rods:)
8) That would be Cool!! I wish you were closer Iam here in Michigan. I wouldnt mind meeting you sometime at a Car Show or Swap Meet. Do you ever get to any of the Big Swap Meets like Iola Wisconsin or Columbus Ohio all Ford Swap Meet?
prostreet, I just went through all of your photos -- the gauges (everything, really) look absolutely spectacular! Can't wait to see how it all comes together.

Yeah, that almost makes me want to do my wagon dash in wood instead of steel.
I was skeptical at first glance, but when I saw it sitting in the dash console, I was blown away. Great work, man!
Thank you 79prostreet, You just added to my todo list. LIKEY
Nice !
You could sell those dashes !
I would buy one for my wagon for sure.. That is super nice 8)
Thanks everyone, as for making a few more I did save all the patterns. At this point I have a guy that wires fire trucks wiring my hot rod, very happy with the progress. If time and money allow I hope to have it running this summer, fingers crossed.
Just snapped a few pic's of the wiring, will post one of the dash and add a few more to my gallery.
That is one sweet dash..
