I can buy a parts car turbo coupe with the 2.3L turbo in it for under 100$ CDN. I can also buy a Ranger rear end for under 100$. I would like a little more power in my bobcat but I'm not sure what to do. My 1974 Bobcat is all original and has only 27 000 miles on it. Should I do the swap? or leave it original?
I'd say go for it. have fun with your car. at least you're not making a demo car out of it. I've seen a guy do that to a bobcat wagon before. it only had around 45000 mile on it. I did manage to save the gas tank and some glass from it. I'd say make your car yours. personalize it.

You can do the swap will very little mod.s to the car(like I did), so if you wanted to put it back stock, you can(but why). Good deal with the t/c, bad with the ranger. Those rears have the pumpkin set so the driveshaft is to the side to make room for the gas tank. You need the shaft centered.
