I have noticed that every so often someone inquires about the various state-to-state emissions requirements for the special cars that they own or are attempting to make street legal.
The 'link' below may help answer some of those questions & eliminate some of the confusion that you may have that directly impacts your project.

hi srt i checked out your post and found sb1224 expert cars built prior to 1981 of interest to me because i have a 77 wagon.couldnt get the ca. website to give me any info onsb1224. maybe you can find anymore info. for us ca. car owners it would be a great relif not to worry about smog every 2 years.sometimes you dont drive your pinto as much afraid putting on miles will wear something out and you would pass smog and not have the money to fix it. thanks for any help chris
Or you can make it simple and do as I did in 1984 propane it for 1 day do smog check and your in SACS CA computer for life as a clean air car never will be asked for smog check again. Fred :)
